The original bed, called Paperpedic Bed, is made up solely of paper and cardboard panels assembled together in order to create a perfectly sturdy structure and to say the least impact resistant.



    In this way, a bed base was obtained completely recyclable, removable and light to carry, with the ability to hold up to a ton of weight. Ideally, 10 people could sleep on it without the cardboard base giving way. From the practical tests carried out, it emerged that it is able to support without problems the weight of 22 people. It seems incredible, but on that occasion numerous images were taken to prove it.

    The same system can be used for the assembly of bases for single, double, king size and queen size beds. Below it can also be inserted drawers, also in cardboard, which will allow the use of any space, in order to store pillows, linens, blankets or clothes. The bed was designed by the designers of the Australian Karton Group, which is responsible for the realization of eco-sustainable furniture ed environmentally friendly for home and office, always completely recyclable and made of cardboard.

    The bed can also be combined with gods cardboard bedside tables, but always of design and pleasing to the eye as well as undoubtedly resistant and comfortable to move and transport in case of move, even by hand, without the fear that they could be damaged. The bed structure is able to self-support thanks to its perfect design, able to exploit the strength of a light material such as cardboard, precisely studying the positioning of each piece.

The cost of the bed is currently around 190 Australian dollars. Its assembly does not require the use of glue and can be carried out by anyone, without the need for the intervention of an expert, a feature that only makes it even more desirable.
