Created in collaboration with Silverback Films - whose director Alastair Fothergill was the creative mastermind of the original Planet Earth and Blue Planet series - and WWF, the docuseries comes after 4 years of work and touching 50 countries on 5 continents.

A huge job, with 3.500 days of filming in the most remote corners of the Earth, from arctic ice to the deepest oceans to the pristine landscapes of Africa and the forests of South America.

David Attenborough, Alberto Angela from the United Kingdom, speaking at the State of the Planet event in London, explained:

“We want to take viewers on a spectacular voyage of discovery that shows the beauty and fragility of nature. Today we have become the biggest threat to the health of our 'home', but we can still face the challenges, as long as we act now. Our Planet brings together some of the best filmmakers and environmentalists in the world and I am delighted to help bring this important cause to the attention of millions of people around the world ”.

The purpose of the documentary therefore it's not just showing to all beauties of Nature but highlight it extreme fragility and the consequences of our heavy impact.
