Nutristyle: the mitochondrial diet in which calories are not counted but oligonutrients

The new diet, conceived by Dr. Antonio Monti, is based on the concept that the calories we consume are not so important as the oligonutrients, essential for the good health of the mitochondria, cellular organelles that transform food into energy.

In the era of the rediscovery of nutritional well-being but at the same time of overweight, it is a direct consequence that diets of all kinds are popular. A new one was presented in Bologna, it is the Nutristyle, Or the mitochondrial diet rather than thinking about calories, it is concerned with using the most suitable food to activate and make the mitochondria work properly.

I mitochondria are organelles that are found in the cells of our body and have the task of produce energy.

This new diet, created by doctor Antonio Monti, is based on the concept that the calories we consume are not so important as the oligonutrients, that is, those nutrients that are essential to the mitochondria in order to perform their functions in the best possible way.

Monti, during the presentation of the new diet and the Nutristyle philosophy, developed in collaboration with the Mare Termale Bolognese - Circuito della Salute Più group, was convinced that

“Metabolic pathologies are often given by a dysfunction of the mitochondria. If we eat badly, it is because the minerals we eat, which are the foundation of the metabolic activity of the mitochondria, are not in tune with our nutrition. For this we must choose the food to eat for our diet in this function, not for the calories. (…) It is useless to pay attention to excess fats and carbohydrates, if we do not pay attention to how they are assimilated in our body and which oligonutrients are introjected ”.

Giving the right nourishment to these small organelles would allow, in the opinion of Dr. Monti, not only to lose weight but also of keep the body healthy and to increase its longevity. This type of diet, in fact, it would help prevent the most common food-related diseases (diabetes, obesity, hypertension, etc.) very frequent nowadays.

The results would be even more evident if, alongside the right diet, there were alsointake of mineralized water (to be evaluated case by case), a right one physical activity andhydrothermal therapy, that is the treatment that involves a controlled thermal increase. At the moment you can be followed in this diet by the experts of the Bolognese Thermal Sea circuit.
