Nuclear !: the design stool made with recycled nuclear waste

Where do we put the radioactive waste resulting from the production of nuclear energy? Into a stool! This is the idea of the architect Marco Capellini, a designer involved in the recovery of waste materials, who created Nuclear !, a prototype of an indoor stool, made for 70% with the recovery and use of nuclear waste and for 30% from natural resin.

Where do we put the radioactive waste resulting from the production of nuclear energy? In one stool! This is the architect's idea Marco Capellini, designer engaged in recovery of waste materials, who created Nuclear !, a prototype of an indoor stool, made for the 70% with the recovery and use of nuclear waste and 30% from natural resin.

The particular stool is 100% recyclable and is characterized by transparent materials and soft shapes, able to adapt to different environments and situations. But how do we keep the nuclear waste in home?
The parts of the stool made from nuclear waste are insulated by a natural resin casing, to avoid any kind of harmful dispersion or emission.

And - apparently - after the stool, the first of the new one Warning collection!, followed by other furnishing elements obtained from recycling of nuclear waste.

Nuclear !: the design stool made with recycled nuclear waste

“In a market where everyone is now talking about sustainable products and the consumer is not aware of what is true or false, Nuclear! wants to be one provocation to prove that nuclear waste can also be recycled. - he said Marco Capellini, creator and designer of Nuclear! - The idea of this "provocation" product comes from a question I asked myself some time ago: is it easier to design an environmentally sustainable product or environmentally unsustainable?

Looking at the market it seems that, from a few years to today, all products have magically transformed into environmentally sustainable products. But how is this possible? It is certainly a pleasure to see more and more companies active in the development of eco-design strategies and innovative solutions for the market. What is needed now is the key to allow the consumer to correctly understand and evaluate the sustainability of a product and therefore recognize the true from the false! "
