Or do you happen to experience a feeling of profound discomfort when you cannot constantly access web information via your smartphone? It could be nomofobia.
Nomophobia: what it is
The term derives from "nomo", short for "no mobile", adapted from the English "nomophobia" (from no mo (bile phone) and phobia), and refers to the terror of being without a mobile phone due, for example, to low battery or not being able to connect to the web due to lack of field.
It was introduced following a research commissioned to YouGov by the telephony department of the Post, according to which 53% of users in the United Kingdom suffer from this problem.
So nomophobia, since today's cell phones are used above all to connect to the internet, is closely linked to the web, social networks and the use-abuse we make of them. In fact, the inability to connect to the network via the phone increases the state of anxiety.
