We pay attention and always rely on authoritative and official sources which, in this case, are first of all the various packaging consortia. Let's try, then, to clarify and, with the help of the Junker app, to dispel some false myths about the errors of separate waste collection.
Even when we talk about separate collection, unfortunately, there is too much disinformation originating in some cases from apparently scrupulous sources, but which are not "themselves" official and do not even cite reliable sources from which the information is taken.
Trusting this news is therefore a mistake we must not fall into, given that for us conscientious citizens and for the environment it is extremely important to correctly separate waste.
The official sources that deal with differentiation are obviously primarily the supply chain consortia (COREPLA, COMIECO, CIAL, COREVE, RICREA, CIC, BIOREPAK) and CONAI. Everyone on their site has large sections on how to differentiate materials and are also active on social networks.

The false myths about the errors of separate collection
Here are the main false myths circulating on the web regarding separate waste collection. Let us not fall into these errors which, we repeat, damage us all and the environment.
Food containers
Food containers, whether they are made of glass, plastic or tetrapak, must always be rinsed before being thrown into the different bags. What is dirty will be more difficult to recycle.
There is no need to rinse glass, plastic and metal packaging before sorting them. It is enough to empty them of what they have contained. Minimal residues do not compromise recovery and recycling.
Pizza carton
The pizza box is better not to throw it in the paper, because it will be greasy and you will not be able to remove all food residues
If the pizza box is clean or only lightly greased, it must be placed in the paper. If it is very dirty, on the other hand, it is good to separate the dirty part from the one that has remained clean, to give the dirty part to the organic and the clean one to the paper.
Glass jars
The glass jars cannot be taken and thrown away in a single bag: the label must be detached and the lid is intended for the special container, which varies according to the material it is made of.
It is not necessary to detach the labels, as they are eliminated in the plant. Only what can be easily removed manually needs to be separated.

Mirror and ceramic objects
Your mirror or ceramic objects are not made of glass, so when they break they will be placed in the undifferentiated.
Shards and fragments go into the undifferentiated. In case of intact materials, they must be given to the municipal collection center.
Ballpoint pen and markers
Ballpoint pens and markers are made of plastic, but they contain ink and have a tip made of a different material. For this reason they will be thrown into the undifferentiated.
Stationery products cannot be placed in plastic because they are not packaging. The other reasons are incorrect.
Receipts
The receipts are not recyclable, because they are printed on a particular type of paper that does not allow them to be reused.
Receipts are printed on thermal paper, which is not compatible with recycling. Let's not confuse recycling and reuse, which are two different things.
