TEA TREE OIL

The essential oil of tea tree obtained from Melaleuca alternifolia is very versatile and among its many potentials there is also that of fighting nail fungus as it is a powerful antifungal and antibacterial. It can also be used in prevention if you go to swimming pools or gyms, for example by adding a few drops in the shower gel with which to always wash your feet and hands well. To treat mycosis, on the other hand, 2 or 3 pure drops can be used directly on the nail affected by the problem several times a day until the problem disappears.

ESSENTIAL OIL OF LAVENDER

Other natural remedy for nail fungus it is the essential oil of lavender, which is also active against the fungi responsible for this problem. As for tea tree oil, the procedure for use is the same: a few drops even directly on the nail affected by mycosis. The alternative is to make healing and at the same time relaxing foot baths by dissolving a spoonful of baking soda in which 4/5 drops of lavender essential oil have been diluted before.

BICARBONATE

Even the only one Baking soda is a good remedy for mycoses especially in the preventive phase if you are prone to the problem. As already mentioned, foot baths can be done by dissolving a spoonful of baking soda in hot water dipping the feet or, if the mycosis has already appeared, create a batter of bicarbonate and water to be placed as a compress on the point affected by the problem, leaving it to act for a few minutes several times a day.

VINEGAR

Another grandmother's remedy for nail fungus is vinegar, a product that we all have at home and that can be used when needed. Also in this case you can make a foot bath that helps to counteract the presence of fungus on the nails, using two parts of water for one of wine or apple vinegar. Soak your feet for at least 15 minutes.

SALT AND LEMON

Other useful remedies to naturally disinfect the areas affected by mycosis are salt and lemon. They can be used separately: the salt is dissolved in hot water and used to wash the feet affected by mycosis or to do foot baths while fresh lemon juice can be used directly on mycosis and left to act for a few minutes several times a day, perhaps dabbing the area with a cotton swab.

OREGANO OR CLOUDS

Even oregano and cloves, often underestimated remedies, have excellent antifungal properties. To get more benefits you can use them in the form of essential oils since the active ingredients are particularly concentrated in this way. Dilute two drops of oregano or cloves in half a teaspoon of sweet almond oil and apply on the area affected by mycosis, leaving it to act for a few minutes.
