The Myx biodegradable lamp is composed of vegetable fibres and from mycelium, the part of the fungi that allows their vegetative reproduction. The mushrooms, over the course of two weeks, grow on the surface of the lamp, feeding on the natural fibers from which it is composed.

    After harvesting the mushrooms, which are edible, remains of the biodegradable fabric and can be composted or thrown in the organic waste. As the mushrooms grow, they form a real glue for the fibers of the lamp. During the productive period, each lamp gives birth to 500-600 grams of such mushrooms oyster mushroom, among the easiest to grow.

    What will be discarded from the lamp will be particularly rich in nutrients, due to the vital mechanisms implemented by the fungi during their growth. The material will be able to re-enter the compost formation, to enrich it.
