Chicory, beets, carrots, beans, fennel, artichokes, rocket and lettuce can be harvested in October and November.

As for carrots and lettuce, you should choose the autumn varieties for planting.

Spinach can be sown from the end of August in order to be able to harvest it during the autumn. The parsley can instead be harvested in spring, while the fennel will bear fruit by the end of November.

Sowing, in order to get a more successful crop, should always be carried out inside seedbeds, which can be obtained by piercing the bottom of cups or small plastic containers (yoghurt pots are perfect for this purpose).

Each jar should be watered preferably using a water container equipped with spray, in order to obtain a correct humidity of the most superficial layers of earth, where the seeds are found. This planting method will allow you to select the most resistant seedlings and to better organize the spaces at your disposal, whether you have a real vegetable garden at your disposal, or whether you decide to transfer your plants into simple pots.
