Tips for sowing

Crescent moon

The growing moon is considered to be the ideal time for the sowing basil, watermelons, melons, aubergines, peppers, tomatoes and courgettes, as well as carrots and cucumbers. In the days of the waxing moon, take care of transplant lettuce, endive, celery, leeks, broad beans and beans that you had previously sown in the shelter. Between herbs you can sow sage, thyme, oregano, coriander and chives in the crescent moon. If you want to collect aromatic and medicinal herbs to dry, dedicate yourself to bay leaves, oregano, parsley, rosemary, calendula, mallow, dandelion and thyme.

The moon will be waxing on April 13-26.

When the moon is waning, peasant tradition recommends that you devote yourself to sowing or transplant endive and lettuce, as well as leeks, celery and endive, onion, radicchio and spring spinach. In the garden you can take care of stuff the potatoes. If in the previous month you have dedicated yourself to the sowing of tomatoes, beans or other climbers, proceed to position the supports necessary for their growth.
