Fantastic creatures inspired by the characters of the great director and screenwriter Hayao Miyazaki. They are the beautiful sculptures of Emily Coleman contained in his collection 'The Arbori'.
Since 2008, this artist has been creating jewelry and objects with shapes and sizes that blend with nature, looking like real pieces of wood. In reality, all of his sculptures are modeled with clay and then decorated one by one, thanks to skillful skill and patience.
The idea came to the artist just watching one of Miyazaki's films from which the first called work was born "The spirit of the forest".
The nocturnal aspect of the forest spirit is based on the daidarabotchi, a legendary yokai (monster) from Japanese mythology capable of lifting mountains and creating lakes with his footprints

But with the most beloved director ever and who may soon be returning to the scene with a new film, Coleman also shares love for the environment.
“I care a lot about nature and I fight for the protection of the world's forests, that's why I like to think of the dragons I create as guardians who preserve them in their beauty”, says the artist.
