The state of Tabasco, in Mexico, in recent days has been devastated by floods and floods with serious risks for the population and for animals. In addition to saving lives, the Mexican Navy has cared for many animals, including around 50 dogs (and has adopted one as well).

Rescuers from the Mexican navy had a lot to do following the severe flood that hit Tabasco, a state in the south of the country, affecting more than 300.000 people.

Among the most exciting rescues was that of a dog who, half immersed in water, was rescued and rescued before it was too late.

The video, which shows the rescue carried out in the flooded streets of Villahermosa, went around the world and the Mexican navy then made it known that it had adopted the animal.

In the images you can see the dog who is on the balcony of a house a little scared, cold and immersed in the water. The naval officer, Demetrio Feria, who approached in a rowboat and brought him aboard, said:

"When I approached him I realized he was a little scared, hungry and cold, it was as if he wanted to defend himself, maybe he thought I would hurt him but when I started talking to him he realized I was there to save his life" .

The decision to adopt it came following the fact that no one came forward to claim the dog.

Navy officers would like to call him "Friday", because it was the day they saved him from the flood, but they believe it is more right that the population choose the name of this dog that has kidnapped the hearts of so many people, and not only in Mexico.
