Mercury swordfish: withdrawn a batch of frozen slices under the Aquarius brand

    A new recall concerns a batch of frozen swordfish under the Aquarius brand that has traces of mercury beyond the limits

    New food alert issued by the Ministry of Health which published the recall relating to a batch of frozen swordfish.





    The product in question, an Aquarius branded frozen fish in slices, during the self-checking analyzes it was found to be contained mercury beyond the limits. For this reason, the Ministry of Health has ordered the recall from supermarkets and food stores.

    The swordfish to watch out for and not to consume is the one produced for Aquariums by the company Brasmar Comercio de Produtos Alimentares SA, in the plant on Avenida Ferreira de Castro 73 in Guidões, Trofa, Portugal (identification mark PT 1356PP CE).

    The package shows the following specifications:

    • batch number 2007297598
    • to be consumed preferably by 27/01/2022
