Those who have seriously approached the practice of meditation, he probably already knows about yours beneficial effects on our mind and ours psychic balance. They now find confirmation from the scientific world thanks to a study recently carried out in Australia, on a large sample of volunteers who regularly dedicated themselves to meditation exercises for a period of at least two years.

The study in question was conducted by a group of researchers from the University of Sidney and was published in the pages of the authoritative journal dedicated to practices related to alternative medicine and to the cases in which it has proved to be of proven efficacy " Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine ". The experts took care of evaluating the effects of a meditative practice carried out with constancy on a group composed of 350 practitioners of Sahaja Yoga, a method which has as its ultimate goal the emptying of the mind through the zeroing of thoughts.

It is a technique otherwise known as "Spontaneous meditation", which through simple exercises allows you to undo the stress and to find peace and well-being on a mental level, canceling frequent and annoying circular thoughts, capable of hindering our ability to both concentrate and relax in everyday life. The well-being of the 350 Australians was compared with data collected by the federal program “National Health and Wellbeing Survey”.

From the comparison it emerged that those who habitually dedicate themselves to meditation e for at least two years own the 10% more mental balance than to those who have never approached this practice. The data obtained was considered relevant by the experts, who in this way proved how meditation can act in a positive way on our mental state and beyond:

"The health and well-being of people who meditated for at least two years was significantly higher in most of the 'health' and 'well-being' categories than the Australian population." The data therefore also highlighted how the mental well-being and physical health are interconnected. Those who had reported practicing meditation for at least two years were found to be more relaxed both mentally and physically, to the full benefit of their overall health.

In particular, among the subjects examined, as many as 52% reported having experienced the "Complete mental silence" for several times a day and 32% for at least once or twice a day. To overcome the stress of everyday life and live better, meditation is therefore a effective cure-all to approach in order to improve one's overall well-being.
