Is called Martino and lives in a kennel in Taranto. A very sweet dog who can't wait to find a home. For this reason, every day he climbs over the fence of his garage hoping that someone has gone to get him.

Erika Niccolai, dog educator and volunteer of Oipa, Taranto section, tells her story, which is promoting its adoption. As soon as she hears that someone is coming, that a person is entering the Martino kennel she seems to exult and she climbs over the fence hoping that this visit is for him, that someone can finally offer him a home.

It does not matter that the volunteers are approaching, Martino day after day does not stop believing in it. So, he takes a run and takes a big leap that he hopes will bring him closer to family life.

Erika Niccolai tells her story on the Facebook page “I, a stray dog” which she manages. Martino was a stray and was rescued 5 years ago. Now he is 7 years old and he still hopes that someone can adopt him. Before the current kennel in which he lives today, in Taranto, he was in another structure which was then closed for mistreatment.

For months, Erika has been trying to find a family but unfortunately no one has come forward yet.

Martino is looking for a house

“I just wish I had a life and someone to choose me. I believe being chosen is the greatest gift a living creature can receive… and even if I'm just a dog I just want to be chosen. I exist but I don't live .. it is as if nothing has color, taste, smell. Please give me the chance I deserve. After this last appeal I will give up but I implore you, give me the opportunity to start living again ”is the appeal launched on Erika's Facebook page.
