In their Manifesto for philosophy, two teachers ask that this subject "be adequately recognized in the state exam". The petition.

Open your mind, in search of a critical and free thought: those who study philosophy at school could have an edge in the definition of their being in society. Two high school teachers who have just launched a proper one are convinced of this direct petition to the Ministry of Education.

They are Marco Ferrari and Gian Paolo Terravecchia and in their Manifesto for philosophy they ask that this subject "be adequately recognized in the state exam", that is to say at high school, and that "it be included in all school curricula", including technical and professional .

Because? Because it is not true that philosophy is boring and heavy. Ferrari and Terravecchia want to dispel this false belief and make sure that all students have the opportunity to approach philosophical disciplines for a single purpose: open your mind to free thinking and distance yourself from things to understand them, through the method of observation and research of the causes.

One of the objectives proposed by the Manifesto for philosophy, therefore, is to bring the study of this subject to all schools: "All students - says Ferrari, who is also at the helm of the philosophical competition for high school Romanae Disputationes - even those who attends the technical institute, the professional, or other training courses, they must have the opportunity to know the great richness of philosophy ".

It is for this reason, therefore, for "the love for knowledge at the origin of all human knowledge", that the two teachers have launched this challenge, among other things already taken by many teachers and philosophers, such as Donatella Di Cesare , Carlo Sini, Silvano Petrosino, but also personalities such as the psychoanalyst Massimo Recalcati and entrepreneurs such as Stefano Colli-Lanzi.
