Four years have passed since his death and now finally a monographic exhibition remembers him. Until 2 October, at the Vittoriano in Rome, “Lucio Dalla, images and words”, retraces the life of the Bolognese singer-songwriter through unpublished shots.

Curated by the critic and music journalist Ernesto Assante, the exhibition set up in the Zanardelli room is divided into two sections: the first dedicated to the private life of the late artist, the second to Dalla's relationship with nature. Along the way the soundtrack with the greatest hits of him.

In a monographic narrative path fascinated, the visitor comes into contact with the things most loved by the singer-songwriter: his Bologna, the unpublished shots of great photographers such as Giovanni Canitano, Guido Harari, Fabio Lovino, Carlo Massarini, Fausto Ristori and Luciano Viti, behind the scenes of the concerts , to the sea with his clarinet. But there are still, Sorrento where Dalla composed Caruso, Puglia, Sicily, the sea of Tremiti and Etna.

Alongside the images there is also the screening of the documentary "Without Lucio" by Mario Sesti who tells the life of the singer through the voice of his closest friends from Renzo Arbore to Paolo Nutini, from Marco Alemanno to Charles Aznavour and John Turturro.
To the photos of the concerts, the curator preferred those that portray the private life and the more ironic part of the artist himself. An all-round portrait that shows the whole universe of Dalla from Banana Republic from 1979 until March 2012.
