Louis, the happy ending story of the dog whose eyes were gouged out to avoid paying for his care. He now he has a new family

Louis has had a life full of suffering. Now he has finally found a new home where he will receive the love and care he needs.

Louis is only three years old and has had a life full of suffering. Now fortunately he has found a new home where he will receive all the love and care he needs.

When this three-year-old Shepherd Lab developed an eye infection, its owners, to avoid paying for the treatment, didn't seek treatment until it was too late and had to have both of its eyes removed. While he was with them, Louis was not getting the care he needed, and because of his problem, after some time, he was also hit by a car and broke his leg. Thus it was that his terrible former owners, not wanting to take care of a blind and injured dog, decided to abandon him. (READ also: Abandoned in the trash, today he's a police dog! The Helen Woodward Animal Center shelter welcomed Louis and looked after him. Although at first he was shy and exhausted, after only one day in foster care, his tail was wagging and he quickly gained everyone's affection. Through his Facebook profile, the animal center launched the adoption announcement telling about the ordeal that their new four-legged friend had to go through to get there and how much he needed a home where he could receive all the love he had. deserves.

The Walkers responded quickly to the request. Jordan Walker, the daughter, to accompany the application for adoption, wrote an essay telling how Luois - in addition to sharing the home with other adopted pets - would also meet another family member who understood the experience of losing sight: his father Steve Walker, a veteran of the Marines, also blind, who in spite of everything had never lost his love for life, competing in marathons, triathlons and ironmen.

"Although Louis' trip with us to the Center ends here, there is a life full of adventures ahead of him and we can't wait to be able to share the updates we will have from the family once they settle down with this incredible dog," Helen Woodward Animal Center Shelter writes on their website.

Thus, from a sad story, Louis's adventure turns into a story full of hope. Now this loving and sweet dog has finally found his home where he can live forever, next to the Walkers, next to Steve.
