What to eat and what not to

What foods are allowed? In this diet, healthy and nutrient-rich foods are recommended in particular: therefore fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts, but also lean proteins and whole carbohydrates.

There are basically seven categories of foods to consider and include in the diet:

  • lean proteins: such as chicken breast, fish, low-fat cheeses, yogurt, egg whites, and lean meat
  • energy carbohydrates: brown rice and pasta, corn, potatoes, oatmeal, peas, beans
  • antioxidant carbohydrates: apples, melon, grapes, kiwi, oranges, plums, watermelon and berries.
  • fibrous carbohydrates: salad, spinach, green beans, cucumbers, peppers, asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms, and other fiber-rich foods
  • proteins and fats: lean steaks, eggs, chicken, lean ground beef (93%), tuna
  • superfood: peanut butter, nuts, seeds, beans, chickpeas, soy.
  • clams: shrimp, clams, oysters, lobsters, crab

Following this diet is very easy as you do not have to buy specific foods but it is based on common foods that are found everywhere.

In addition to water, as regards drinks, it is allowed to take:

  • some protein drinks
  • diet soda
  • unsweetened coffee and tea

  • Breakfast: a cup of cereal and half a cup of milk or fresh yogurt or, if you prefer a savory breakfast, an omelette with spinach.
