But how to become a foster family? As the ANPVI, led by President Monica Taula explains, the so-called puppy walkers are selected following an interview during which questions are asked about the type of home, the number of family members, habits and any other animals present in the house. home. The families who are then chosen are required to sign a contract in which they undertake to return the dog to the school at the age of 12 months.

Here the dogs will begin a training period: a basic one and then a more specific training (which can last from 6 to 8 months). At the end of the training, each Labrador it is assigned to blind people based on a series of parameters. The Campagnano di Roma school organizes courses lasting 10 days during which each person becomes familiar with the dog that has been assigned to him. In the large structure, in addition to the caretaker's house, the offices and the kitchen with the canteen, there are also 7 apartments with bathrooms for blind people following the course.
