On the eve of his son Mattia's first day of school, dad Marino posted one on Facebook letter that is making the rounds of the Web.

"Mattia will show up at school tomorrow with this" - wrote Mattia's father on his Facebook profile commenting on the photo of the letter intended for teachers.

In the letter, father Marino explained that his son, like every year, did not carry out his holiday homework because together they dedicated themselves to other activities: long bike rides, camping life, home and kitchen management.

Together they built a new desk and the father helped Mattia to develop his true interests: programming and electronics, an area in which, according to Marino, he has really made a lot of progress.

Marino thinks that summer tasks are deleterious and moreover he stresses of never have seen serious professionals take their work on vacation.

"You have about nine months to teach him notions and culture, I three full months to teach him to live”- this is the central message that Mattia's father wanted to address to his son's teachers.

We remind you that the performance of holiday duties is not normally mandatory. This dad has caught the ball, not only in the last summer but also during the holidays of the previous years, for spending time with the child without school obligations and to help him develop his real interests.

From our point of view, this letter is not just a message for Mattia's teachers but wants to be an encouragement for all, parents and educators, to find out what are the real interests of their children, of the children and young people who follow to make sure that they can carry them forward with commitment and passion in their free time, for example during the holidays.

The time to start doing homework and studying as the school requires will then return with the resumption of lessons in the classroom. During the summer holidays, is it better to devote yourself to something else without getting bored and without imposing tasks to be done? What do you think?
