Leo and Beatrice, two newborns who fought against Covid-19 returned home from the hospital today

Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

They have 50 and 40 days respectively and in common they have returned home today after struggling for days in hospitals against the Coronavirus. Two happy ending stories that give hope back.

Leonardo had been hospitalized in Magenta hospital and today, after several days, he was finally able to return to his country, welcomed by the enthusiasm of the Mayor of Corbetta, Marco Ballarini, who on his Facebook profile welcomes back in his name and in his own name. the whole community:

Beatrice Aurora was discharged, however, this morning from the Pope John XXIII hospital where she had been hospitalized on March 5th. Her 40-day-old child spent half her life in the hospital without having any contact with her mother. The doctors who kept her under close observation decided to discharge her on Monday despite the fact that the last swab was still positive. The little girl will thus be able to spend the next few days of quarantine at home, without being able to have contact with other children including her siblings.

As the parents of the newborn girl tell at the Eco di Bergamo:

On Monday, the doctors informed us that the discharge procedure had begun for our Beatrice so she could go home, but unfortunately at the last swab, she was still positive. - Marta tells us -. I went down to Bergamo, with Marco and after talking to the medical staff who showed us how to behave at home with the baby, we went back to Fiorano. We are all equipped with masks, the children cannot get close to Beatrice and we must use the necessary precautions to avoid problems for her and for the family. We are happy to have brought home our Beatrice, who is in good health. We hope that in the next few days the checkups will tell us that it is negative. We have spent about twenty sad days, during which we have never been able to see her and every day the medical and nursing staff informed us of the course of her illness and of her clinical picture - continues the mother -. I sincerely thank the nurses who supported me in every phone call, sometimes listening not to say almost always my tears, which although I wanted to avoid but just saying the name of my little girl or when they told me she was fine I was crying anyway. I thank the doctors who, despite the emergency in the hospital, were able to keep me calm. I thank the pediatric emergency room, the nurses and the doctor who when she communicated the positive outcome to me at Covid-19 told me: "If I could I would embrace you".

And we hope that news of complete clinical recovery will arrive soon.
