The Christmas holidays, with the relative holidays, are an ideal time to organize activities and pastimes that involve the little ones. Not only decorations for the tree or for the house, but also sweets and small delights, to be enjoyed together or - why not - to offer to friends for a snack or to give to grandparents.

Le Christmas holidays, with the related holidays, are an ideal time to organize activities and pastimes that involve the little ones. Not only tree or home decorations, but also sweets and small delights, to be enjoyed together or - why not - to offer to friends for a snack or to give to grandparents.
For example, if you are a lover of the family shortbread, you can follow this recipe and prepare very tasty biscuits and, at the same time, very easy to make. Let your children help you in cutting the dough with many different shapes, perhaps inspired by Christmas, and then have fun decorating each piece: it will be a fun and creative experience for the whole family!
Ingredients
For the dough:
2 eggs
125 g of raw cane sugar
125 g of cold pressed seed oil
Half a sachet of cream of tartar
Organic flour to taste (about 300/400 g)
For the glaze:
About 250 g of organic icing sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
2 teaspoons of water
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients well to form a nice elastic ball, which you will have to wrap in plastic wrap and put to rest for about an hour in the refrigerator. Then roll out a 3-4 mm thick sheet on a floured work surface and, using molds of your choice, cut your cookies. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 ° for about 10 minutes (they must be slightly golden).
Then prepare the icing by mixing a teaspoon of lemon juice with two teaspoons of water and adding powdered sugar until you get a white spreadable mixture (it must be workable, but not run). If you choose to use a food coloring, remember to reduce the amount of water, otherwise yours icing it will be too slow and you will have to add more sugar to make it the right consistency.
Immediately after glazing the biscuits, you can add colored sprinkles or other decorations to your liking (however, this must be done quickly, because the glaze tends to solidify quickly). Leave yours cookies to dry for a few hours and then serve.
