Those who travel to Germany, in the Rhur region, passing near Wuppertal will find themselves faced with an unexpected lego bridge, known worldwide as Lego Bridge, as well as how lego bridge in German.

Even if at first glance you would not think so, this Lego bridge is the fruit of over a century of history of locomotives and railways. Let's find out how the extraordinary transformation of an old railway line took place thanks to the street art.

The railway Wuppertal Northern Railway it was in fact built in 1879 to complete the adjacent one BME Line dedicated to passenger trains that crossed Germany via Wuppertal.

The BME Line, which had been built many decades earlier, however, followed the most convenient and strategic route, while to build the Wuppertal Northern Railway it was necessary to create a complex passage between tunnels and viaducts.

Over time, the Wuppertal Northern Railway (WNR) was abandoned in favor of the more comfortable BME Line. The WNR tracks were completely decommissioned in the XNUMXs.
