How to prepare bay leaf tea

The best way to take advantage of bay leaves is to drink tea or, better still, herbal tea. Preparing it is really very simple, in fact you only need:

  • 30 grams of dried bay leaves
  • water

Boil the water and add the dried leaves, leave on the stove for a few minutes then turn off and cover the saucepan letting the drink rest until it has cooled. At that point, just filter and serve. If you want to improve the taste ofbay leaf infusion a natural sweetener can be used.

A variant is then prepared by adding dried lemon peel (coming from untreated lemons) which is boiled together with bay leaves. It would be preferable to take this "magical" drink in the morning on an empty stomach and in the evening before going to sleep.
