Recalled a batch of organic vegan La Selva pesto due to swelling of the cork, oil leakage and alteration of the pH
Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerousThe Ministry of Health has announced the recall of an organic and vegan product: La Selva pesto.
The reason for the recall is that some jars, specifically those of lot E181 with expiration 29-06-2023, could show a swelling of the cap due to alteration of the internal pH of the product.
La Selva vegan pesto, affected by the recall, is produced by La Dispensa di Campagna Srlu (Albinia-Orbetello, Grosseto) and packaged in 180 g jars.
As stated in the ministry's recall document:
“Swollen jars expel oil due to internal pressure”.
If you have purchased this product, then avoid consuming it but return it to the point of sale for a refund or replacement.
