    The new study, conducted by researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles and published in Physiology and Behavior, has shown how following a "junk diet" has negative effects on the body in just 3 months, including brain and not well fed, he becomes tired, lazy and slowed down in his operation.

    The study has been conducted on an animal model: one group of mice was fed junk food while another group ate a balanced diet. When the researchers stimulated the animals to do certain exercises it was immediately noticed that the first group showed a "decrease in motivation, physical and mental reactions" while the second group was much more responsive and healthy. All this after only 3 months of dieting.

    Junk food would therefore be able to chemically modify the brain making him listless and it is perhaps precisely for this reason, researchers say, that obese people are often labeled as lazy. In reality, they are probably simply victims of consuming unhealthy foods which in the long run have caused them physical and mental fatigue.

    Lead author of the study, Aaron Blaisdell, said, “The data suggests that diet could literally change brain function. And obese people often accused of being even lazy would actually be victims of mental-physiological fatigue ".
