You don't have to be great to be a great hero. This is demonstrated by a brave XNUMX-year-old Brazilian, Jean Fernandes, who braved traffic to save his dog accidentally hit by a car. The sequence showing the boy's love for his four-legged friend, named Mel (Honey), was captured by photographer Rafaela Martins.
It all happened in just a few minutes. The driver who hit the dog did not stop to provide relief, which is very common in the city of Itajai how much reported from veterinarian Denilson da Silva Vargas, of the Zoonoses Control Center, to the Brazilian news site Guarda-Sol.
Jean, then, he rushed among the vehicles coming from the opposite direction to pick up the helpless animal and bring it to safety. Her mother, Rubia Liliana Rose, explained that her son loves animals and would like to save all those who are abandoned or mistreated.
The dog, unlucky for the accident but lucky to have a human who loves him, is still being treated by vets at a local animal control center. He is scared but on the mend. The experts' recommendation, however, is, in the event of an accident, not to touch the animal until a veterinarian arrives.
