There are really special stories, like that of Jan Brown, a woman who has decided to dedicate her time, as a volunteer, to the realization of sweaters to protect from the cold i abandoned dogs.
Jan is 52 and lives in Seaburn, in UK. since 2008 takes care of knitting to create gods sweaters that are destined for abandoned dogs hosted at the Greyhound Rescue shelter.
Donations raised through his business are distributed to all abandoned animal shelters in the UK. For the upcoming holiday season, Jan thought of creating some very original, Christmas-themed dog sweaters.
Since 2008 he has created at least 300 dog sweaters, to which are added coats and hats. She now devotes herself to this passion full time and is convinced that she could not do anything more beautiful in her life. In the last few years she knitted for more than 4000 hours and the results obtained are giving her great satisfaction.
Not all dogs are lucky enough to spend some warm time in a real home. Many of them live in shelters, they do not always have suitable shelter and therefore the cold is unforgiving.
A sweater can help protect the dog from the cold, in these cases, much more than a blanket. His creations serve above all to repair very short-haired dogs, which in winter tend to suffer from the cold a lot. Even dogs that do not live in a shelter can wear sweaters to keep warm during winter walks.
