Firefighters had to intervene to rescue a puppy dog that got stuck in a chair in Lancaster Township, Pennsylvania, USA.
The little boy was playing in the garden of his house when he stuck his head in an overturned garden chair. His family tried to free him, but the feat turned out to be more difficult than expected. The firefighters were called who, after a few minutes of tension, managed to save the puppy.
Glenn Usdin, Lancaster Township Fire Chief, told South West News Service:
We often run to the aid of animals in distress, from little ducklings stuck in the sewers, or pets locked up in cars and even cats stranded in trees. As long as there are no other service calls, we always assist animals in distress, whether wild or domestic. When the receptionist gave us the information, we immediately knew we had to rush to the place. We treat our residents' pets with the same care as humans, and we rushed to help.
