In Brazil, an injured dog walked into a veterinary clinic alone for help. Now he will also find a new family
During a normal day of visits, in a Brazilian veterinary clinic, all but a stray dog showed up. The unexpected visitor, sick and injured, was promptly treated and now a family is sought for him ready to welcome him.
A few days ago, a stray dog looking for help walked through the door of the Dayse Ferreira veterinary clinic in Juazeiro do Norte in Brasile. The animal showed up on its own and immediately attracted the attention of the vet as he was visibly injured.
Dayse had just finished visiting a customer's pet when he noticed this dog limping into the shop and stopped, leaning against the side of the room. She and her colleagues were stunned because it looked as though the dog had taken the initiative to go inside for treatment. And, knowing the intelligence of dogs, perhaps this shouldn't surprise us too much.
“When he entered, he put his injured leg forward as if to show he was in pain. We were surprised because he knew where to ask for help, ”said the veterinarian”.
The scene was also filmed by the veterinary clinic's cameras.
Dayse immediately welcomed the dog and, upon seeing him, found that, fortunately, his leg wasn't badly injured. But the visit to the clinic by the animal was nevertheless providential.
The dog, in fact, it had a small tumor and was infested with fleas and ticks. However, both conditions, the vet said, are treatable.
After giving him a nice purifying bath and giving him the necessary treatments (which will continue over the next few weeks), a solidarity competition was immediately activated to find a new home for the dog.

Word got out and the veterinary clinic received tons of adoption offers. In fact, Dayse is now evaluating the best family for him.
His days as a lonely and unloved dog are officially coming to an end.
