A beautiful project unites our Calabria to Tanzania. The association "La terra di Piero" has created an inclusive playground near a school
Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerousA beautiful project unites distant Tanzania with a region of our territory, Calabria. This is the first inclusive playground, therefore also suitable for disabled children, built in this African country (but probably also throughout the continent). It was created by the Calabrian association “La terra di Piero”.
It is a unique playground of its kind, especially in Africa. Let's talk about the Piero Romeo Park 2 which is found outside the primary school in Ipogolo, Tanzania, realized thanks to the commitment of the association "La terra di Piero".
In this school there are two classes made up entirely of disabled children and, precisely for their needs, the park was designed and then actually built where there are no architectural barriers but, on the contrary, everything is adapted to accommodate wheelchairs and to entertain even visually impaired children.

In the following video you can see where the park was built, the maintenance work carried out and, above all, the wonderful children who enjoy the games.
It is not the first inclusive park that the Calabrian association has created, a twin park is in fact located in Cosenza: it is the Piero Romeo Park (1).
We have told you about many other inclusive parks in our country but also elsewhere:
The new inclusive park in Milan with games for everyone, even for disabled children
In an abandoned square, citizens create an inclusive playground for disabled children as well
The first water park in the world dedicated to disabled people
Inclusive parks: from Rome to Rimini games for everyone, without barriers
