The Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant will be dual-mode

“It blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment, allowing you to appreciate the green space at the top but also the greenery that surrounds the structure”. All the water treatment system will in fact be below the ground, as the projects show.

A valuable facility for Singapore

Da Pub, il Chief Executive Ng Joo Hee confirms analyzes on the importance of similar systems for obtaining water resources in Singapore. In a note he claims that, as a source completely independent of the weather conditions,



“Desalinated water is precious and increases the resilience of the area in the face of scarcity of water sources, especially during periods of drought. "We aim to triple the capacity to reach 30% of water obtained in this way by 2060".


And in the meantime, in 2020 the Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant should be up and running, capable of producing more 100 million liters of drinking water per day.
