A hotel on piano terra
The building we are about to talk about certainly cannot be defined as “beautiful” at first sight. But if we get closer and look at the details we will surely be fascinated by the innovative spirit with which it was created. The first floor houses hotel rooms, those ofOhboy Hotel, a condition that was actually imposed by the institutions and reflects a fact: tenants do not like to live on the ground floor for privacy reasons, in this way thick doors and not huge windows were used, ideal for the function they perform at the ground floor, where guests need to be safe. Each room has its own exclusive area with a bicycle, a rack, a bench, a green space.
Then there are two rooms on the mezzanine level, with a living room and kitchen at the top and a sleeping area at the bottom. All the walls of the hotel are in prefabricated concrete, in the case of the apartments a touch of paint and some more graphic solutions are added. A certain minimalism dominates everywhere.
Auto? no thank you
Cars are not needed here. Everything is designed to live without. There are smart mailboxes of various sizes that allow you to leave packages and envelopes when the tenants are not at home, equipped with an LCD display with the name of the person who uses them.
