Presented in the suggestive Piazza del Duomo, in the heart of Lecce, the models appear at the center of a fabulous scenography, illuminated by the hypnotic and extravagant glows of the traditional Luminarie, reinterpreted by Marinella Senatore.
Maria Grazia Chiuri's collection took place to the rhythm of the cathartic dance of the La Notte della Taranta Foundation, with the choreography of Sharon Eyal.
On the Dior models appears the motto of the laboratory of the Le Costantine Foundation "Amando e Cantando", a tribute to local craftsmanship.
“Artist Pietro Ruffo drew inspiration from the iconic 1949 Miss Dior dress to create an evocative summer image: a field dotted with sheaves of wheat. A story that sees indomitable nature as its protagonist is thus transposed onto shirts and shorts ", we read on the Dior website.
True treasures of elegance, the dresses are embellished with bobbin lace flowers and butterflies, a precious traditional embroidery system still used by Marilena Sparasci.
