    Because? The company received a report of a case in which a one year and seven month old baby, playing with the PATRULL light, tried to pull it out of the socket and the lid came off. The child he took the shock, with obvious injuries on his hand.

    “Safety has always been a priority for IKEA. When there are incidents involving IKEA products, we intervene promptly: the light with PATRULL sensor was immediately withdrawn from the market ", explains the company.

    In any case, the product had been tested and it conformed to all laws and applicable rules. In the investigation that followed the incident, over 600 PATRULL lights were examined without any problems. But to avert the risk of further accidents the product was withdrawn from the shelves.

    PATRULL sensor light has been on sale in Europe and North America since 2013. Customers who want return light with PATRULL sensor can bring it back to any IKEA store, where they will receive the refund. A receipt is not required.
