We had already told you about the curious story of a McDonald's hamburger preserved in Iceland as the last sandwich sold on the island by the well-known fast food restaurant which then closed its doors for good in 2009. Today the aforementioned hamburger turned 10 years old and, surprise (but not too much), it hasn't decomposed at all and still appears whole!

The latest hamburger with fries sold by a Mc in Iceland became famous all over the world as it was stored and displayed in a glass case at the Bus Hostel in Reykjavik. To make the sandwich famous was a McDonald's fan who decided to buy and keep his favorite food as a souvenir, as the fast food restaurant failed (strange but not unique case) to stay open in this country and in 2009 it closed all 3 of its stores.

The man, Hjortur Smarason, also wanted to understand whether McDonald's burgers, as they were rumored, were very resistant to time and did not decompose quickly. Andfter 10 years, see for yourself what the sandwich looks like today which in the meantime has changed its location and is located at the Snotra House hostel in southern Iceland.

As can be clearly seen from the photos, there are no signs of mold or rot and the burger with fries still looks incredibly whole, almost ready to eat (the most aged is the paper wrapper!).

Many fans and onlookers who go to Iceland go to see it as if it were a relic or through the site they "admire" it in streaming, but the thing itself is not that funny, considering that it is a food that many people around the world consume frequently.

And do you know it's not even the only case? Another McDonald's burger has been very well preserved since 1995, we told you about it HERE.
