The alarm was raised by Rapex, the European alert system for non-food products (Rapid Alert System for dangerous non-food products). Aerobic bacteria, yeast and mold have been found in some batches of the flaxseed conditioner contained in plastic packaging.
For this reason it does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation. If used on damaged skin or if it comes into contact with the eyes, the product may cause infection or irritation.
In accordance to reported in the notice N ° A12 / 1287/18 of Rapex, the recalled batches are the following:
- 3067
- 3137
- 3167
- 3487
- 3527
- 2987
This morning we contacted the Gianasso Group, which produces I Provenzali cosmetics, to find out more. According to the company, one was taken over discrepancies with respect to quality standards:
”The indicated lots have shown over time a microbiological pollution problem. We have informed all the points of sale by withdrawing the indicated lots whose production dates back to the period of June / July 2017 only. Consumers who still have the product "I Provenzali Herbal Balm with linseed", exclusively from the indicated lots, are invited, to contact the company at the following email address for the management of the return with replacement: servizioconsumatori@iprovenzali.com "
He also specifies that the recall concerns only the indicated lots.
