What is hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that our body produces but sometimes, even with the passage of time, it is possible to notice its deficiency. Hair, for example, can suffer from this deficiency so much that you begin to notice the presence of duller and drier locks in texture. The natural instinct is to cut lengths but it may not be enough: combining a product based on this molecule is instead a right move to the classic trim.

 The properties for the hair

As we have said, treatments such as bleaching but also an unbalanced diet, smog and stress can contribute to weaken the hair, damaging the cuticle or the outermost layer of the hair. Hyaluronic acid, which is synonymous with hydration, allows you to retain moisture and have a florid hair thanks to its recognized humectant properties.

What benefits for the hair

The use of products based on hyaluronic acid allows to limit the dispersion of water during cleansing of the hair, creating a sort of protective film: these are strengthened and shinier because they are more hydrated. But above all, that unpleasant “fizzy” or frizzy effect, particularly evident on thin hair, is significantly reduced.

How to choose products for a shiny hair

There are many hair products that contain hyaluronic acid but sometimes it is possible to find some that combine it with other ingredients for an even more invigorating action. Among these are keratin, excellent for keeping frizz at bay, or collagen, with a repairing effect on the hair fiber and also plumping.

How to apply hyaluronic acid

Balm or serum: what to choose? The great variety of products allows you to find the right solution for every need and requirement. You can opt for a leave-in conditioner or even a serum at the end of cleansing: in both cases it is used on damp hair with a massage on the scalp and, then with a comb, you go to cover the lengths.
