Do not throw away garden scraps but use them to create pellets! Let's see how with Agrieuro's tools
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himMowing and pruning, albeit natural, are often difficult waste to dispose of. The small pruning of leaves and flowers, being organic materials, can be thrown in the damp but large branches and hedges must be taken to special collection centers whose rules vary from municipality to municipality.
What if we could reuse them to self-produce compost and pellets?
Winter has now arrived but the work in the vegetable garden or in your garden does not stop even with the arrival of the coldest and rainiest season of the year. This, in fact, is the moment in which many trees, plants or hedges are pruned.

From clippings to compost
One of the possible re-uses of waste is that which involves the transformation into soil: small branches, leaves, plant debris, roots and twigs are collected and inserted into the composter. A very common, cheap and simple practice.
If, on the other hand, you have large waste, it is possible to reduce them to smaller dimensions by transforming them into wood chips using a special tool called shredder (shredder or chippers). Again, wood chips can be accumulated in the compost bin to produce soil.
From clippings to pellets
If you use a pellet stove for heating at home, you can also think about using mowing and pruning to self-produce this material, with a significant cost saving. To do this you need machines, called biotriturators (chippers or chippers) that allow you to create wood chips.
The latter, to be transformed into pellets, must be further treated with a pellet machine, which allows you to make pellets at home, reducing the need to buy them.
In this way, the investments made in the machinery are offset by a double advantage: eliminating the problem of bringing the clippings to the collection points and reducing the purchase of pellets.
In particular, i chippers they have the task of shredding pruning waste and gardening residues with a diameter ranging from 20 to 100 mm according to the models, managing to finely grind both branches and greenery such as leaves, grass and other organic waste. They reduce twigs and twigs to a size that is easy to handle and also suitable for composting.
Attention, these machines grind the wood only when it is still green. They are not designed to grind dry wood and this could also damage them.
Having these two tools available, you can therefore think of reusing the cuttings to power your pellet stove.
How to choose the machinery
There are several, which can also be easily purchased online. A good compromise between quality and price is provided by Agrieuro, which offers solutions for both the domestic and professional sectors.
Household shredders treat branches with a diameter of about 5 cm. The professional and semi-professional ones, on the other hand, shred larger branches (6,7,10, 15 cm).
