Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

La fear it is one of the primary emotions common to all mankind, along with joy, sadness, anger and disgust. If fear blocks us and does not allow us to evolve in life, the time has come to face it.

Always treating fear as a negative emotion is wrong. Emotions, by themselves, are neither negative nor positive. For example it is precisely the fear that it can warn us of danger, can allow us to avoid trouble or even it can save our lives. If those who are climbing a mountain did not feel fear, he would not resort to all the precautions necessary to protect himself and would risk falling into a ravine.

We have therefore seen that fear can have a positive value in many cases. Other times, however, the same fear can appear negative to us because it is able to block us in front of an obstacle and stand between us and the projects we would like to carry out.

In both situations there is a common denominator: fear must be recognized and accepted. We must first admit that we are afraid, know what emotions we are feeling and understand if this fear is protecting us or holding us back.

Eliminating fear is not only wrong, it is probably even impossible. But fear can be understood, managed or faced depending on the life situations we are going through.

Fear is an emotion linked tosurvival instinct. We humans try it and animals do it too. The most immediate reaction to something that is very frightening is to flee. Let's think of an animal that runs away from its predator to survive and to avoid becoming its prey.

However, there are fears of different levels that do not endanger our lives and that, on the contrary, we can and must face in order to be able to live better.

For example, some people are afraid to speak in public, others give up travel because they are afraid of taking a plane or a ship, and still others suffer from fears or phobias that limit their lives.

Depending on the type of fear we feel and the problems we face in our existence we can decide to ask for help from an expert to be able to get to the roots of our fears and to face them.

This could be a psychologist, a psychotherapist, a counseling or hypnosis expert. Yoga and meditation practiced under the guidance of a qualified teacher can transform the lives of those who practice them and help people interpret their fears differently and deal with them to feel better.

A simple technique to prepare us for a situation that scares us is visualization. The views they are often included in the field of Yoga and meditation but also by those who use a therapeutic approach close to psychology.

Before facing an important commitment or a situation that scares us, we try not to think about the worst, since in part our mind with all its limitations can help shape our future just as we would not want it if we are not able to channel our thoughts at best.

The suggestion is to visualize ourselves while strong, courageous and determined we manage to face a job interview, an exam, an interrogation, an operation, a medical examination, a sports competition or any other situation that is causing us fear in the best possible way.

Thanks to creative visualizations the mind trains to face fears. Think that similar visualization exercises are also suggested to high-level sportsmen when they are training for an important competition.

This is because training the mind to deal with life situations that scare us is just as important as training the body for a sports competition. We know well that it is often ourselves with our mental lucubrations that set ourselves limits. Creative visualization, meditation, and other mental training techniques can be a winning strategy for gaining greater courage and self-confidence.

What do you think? Have you ever used any particular techniques to overcome your fears?
