The suggestion is to prepare the bird feeders right at this moment, that is, just before the arrival of spring, when nature begins to awaken and when we still have seasonal citrus fruits available.
Here how to make a bird feeder with the citrus peels.
You will need:
- Citrus fruits
- Knife
- Strong twine or thread
- Scissors
- Birdseed
- A wool needle
1) Cut the citrus fruits in half, squeeze them and clean them very well inside with the help of the knife.
2) Divide in four parts strong twine or thread. The length depends on where you will hang your small feeders.
3) Pierce the citrus peels in four places with the wool needle or the tip of the knife.
4) With the help of a wool needle or a crochet hook, pass it through a piece of thread or string for each hole and knot the end near the peel.
5) Finally knot the four free ends of the string for hang your manger on a branch of your garden and pour birdseed.
To complete the work you can also build one wooden birdhouse.
