The power supply is made of biodegradable plastic and the project has been tested for more than two years to develop the perfect product, capable of attract smaller birds, but not the slightly bigger ones like pigeons.
If you have access to a Printer 3D, it is also possible print the houses yourself. The design is open-source and customizable, so you can use all colors or even make changes to the geometry. Once positioned, the company asks users to report the location of their printed nest to get an updated map of crates around the world.
