You want to give a touch of spring to our dining room? What could be better than doing it by using all the bottles and glass jars in the house, which can become beautiful vases to contain plants and flowers. And to do it just color them with a few simple steps.
The first thing to do is to collect some transparent bottles and jars and decide what color we want to paint them. It can be a single color, which will produce different shades depending on the tint of the glass, as it does Martha Stewart, or various colors, as the blogger puts into practice The girl in the candy house which colored bottles and jars in sunset shades, from yellow to purple.
The next step is to mix colors to get the desired shade. Watercolors, gouache or enamel can be used. Dilute the paint with a little water to fill the bottle (without it being too liquid, however) and draw with a large syringe, which you can buy at any pharmacy.
Then you have to pour all the paint into the bottle or jar with the help of the syringe. Larger bottles need between 80 and 100ml of paint. Move the bottle so that the paint will flow to all the walls of the containers. Once covered, leave the bottles and jars upside down for several hours, so that far drain off any excess, in a sink or on paper towels. After that, he pulls up and wipes the excess paint off the edge. Let it dry completely for a couple of days.
If you have used watercolors, you cannot fill the containers directly with water. It will therefore be necessary use plastic florist tubes to hold flowers with which we want to decorate the new colored vases. On the choice of floral varieties we proceed according to taste. Daisies, for example, would be perfect.
