Also this year for a Christmas in the name of eco-sustainability, we offer you a tree to be made completely with your hands, creatively recycling recycled materials, in this case of boxes (but also simply cardboard panels), which you have stored after a move or transport in some closet of your home. Just a little bit of dexterity and carefully follow the instructions of Instructables.com, illustrated below.

What you need:

  • cardboard (boxes or panels);
  • a screwdriver or pointed object to drill holes;
  • clips (plastic or metal that you can buy in hardware stores or in DIY stores);
  • a fairly long ruler;
  • a hacksaw, cutter or scissors for the cardboard;
  • And of course some space to work comfortably

Method

1 ° Step

Start by cutting out the boxes you have recovered, 16 triangular panels of the dimensions shown in scheme "Macedonia" da download and print, and drill holes on the sides always following the indications;

2 ° Step

At this point, fold each side of the panels, following the dotted lines depicted by the template with the help of the ruler;

3 ° Step

Now you have to build the various modules of the tree, which in all they will have to be 4 (1 small, 2 medium, 1 large), using 4 triangular panels for each module, which must be identical in shape. Start by taking one panel and overlap the side, which you folded, over the edge of the second panel. Try to align the holes well. Continue like this until you have built all 4 modules;

4 ° Step

Join the panels together using the clips, forming 4 tetrahedra;

5 ° Step

Fold the lower flaps underneath so as to form a base, to overlap each module, connecting the four corners together, always inserting the clips in the holes to stop everything;

6 ° Step

Now after having built and connected all the modules together with the clips, place them one on top of the other, starting with one of the two of medium size, which will represent the base of your tree. Followed by the largest, the medium and finally the smallest at the top.
