Let's imagine we are in Switzerland, among green hills, to admire a splendid and relaxing landscape that we would never want to be altered by the presence of buildings that could ruin the magnificent view about it, but still wanting to be part of it. The idea of the two architects who designed "House Inside A Hill" was born from this thought, a house perfectly integrated into the space occupied by a hill.

The plan of Bjarne Mastenbroek e Christian Muller it consisted in being able to build a house that was completely integrated into the landscape, so as not to disturb the surrounding nature and so as to keep its beauty intact. Precisely for this reason, access to the villa, located in the locality of Vals, consists of a hidden and partly underground path, which follows the conformation of hills and mountains.

The two architects completed the villa project in collaboration with many Dutch designers, which were able to give the facade of the house a certain national touch. It is also reflected inside the villa, especially in the choice of furniture and furnishings, for the realization of which the use of natural materials like wood and stone. The preferred style for the placement and choice of furniture reflects the contemporary North European taste.

Its location is strategic. The villa is in fact located a short distance from the thermal establishment of Vals, a hotel and spa complex that was built next to natural hot springs. The house is equipped with large windows that guarantee lighting thanks to the natural light, as well as allowing those who live there to admire the wonderful landscape that surrounds it.
