Hot salt, a simple, inexpensive and affordable remedy for everyone to relieve some ailments and pains. Here's how and when to use it





Naturally effective on several occasions, hot salt can be used to relieve some ailments in adults and children and the advantage is undoubtedly that of needing only a simple and unique ingredient that we all always have at home.

However, there is an important clarification to be made, in order for the remedy to be more effective it is good to use first quality salt, i.e. whole sea salt or Himalayan salt, natural and untreated products that it would be good to use not only for this purpose but also and above all for your own diet.

The advantage of these salts is that they are rich in minerals that are transferred to our body together with the heat and at the same time, in the case of the compress, they are able to absorb excess moisture in the body.

How to make hot salt

Depending on whether the area to be treated is more or less extensive, take 1 to 3/4 handfuls of coarse salt and pour them into a pan. Let the salt heat up until it starts to crackle and emit a little smoke, at this point turn off and pour the contents into a piece of cloth that can be a cloth, a pillowcase, a thin towel, wool, etc. Wrap everything well so that the grains of salt cannot come out and if anything tied with a string or an elastic band.

At this point, place your DIY hot salt pack on the area that needs it, if you have the feeling that it burns too much, avoid burning yourself and wait for the temperature to be acceptable for your skin. It can be kept on the painful area for about 15/20 minutes, or more or less until the salt has returned to room temperature.



If you benefit from it, you can easily repeat the treatment every day, reusing the same salt for 3/4 times, afterwards, however, it must be thrown away and cannot under any circumstances be reused, much less in the kitchen.
