We usually associate the idea of ​​sipping a good herbal tea with a hot drink that accompanies us on winter evenings. In reality, many herbal teas lend themselves to being refreshing and purifying even in summer. So let's find out what the detox infusion perfect to drink even cold.





With hot summer days we tend to lose a lot of liquids, one way to increase our income can be, for example, to prepare fruit-flavored waters but if we prefer more intense taste than herbal or spice based teas nothing prevents us from consuming them in the cold variant or rather at room temperature.

Potentially, herbal teas can also be drunk cold from the refrigerator, but we do not recommend this option because the purifying effect is greater with hot drinks or at room temperature (especially in summer). If you really can't resist, at least choose to drink them only slightly cool and don't freeze.

Karkadè

Karkadè is a very bright red drink made from the infusion of dried hibiscus flowers. In winter it is eaten hot but in summer it is also perfect cold. It is a herbal tea rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants but also boasts diuretic, anti-inflammatory and digestive properties. Preparing the infusion is very simple: 1 tablespoon of karkadè is enough for each cup of water, pour the flowers into boiling water, turn off, cover and wait for about 10 minutes. Then all that remains is to filter, let it cool to room temperature and then put it in the fridge. With the karkadè you can also try to make Karcadè ice lollies and fishing.

Mint herbal tea

Refreshing and purifying mint is perfect especially in summer! The herbal tea obtained from the leaves of this plant can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator to consume it as needed. A classic infusion that is excellent in summer is green tea with lemon. Of course, we are not talking about ready-made bottles but about what is done at home starting with tea leaves or sachets finally adding fresh lemon juice. Red or roobois tea

Il roobois, also known as red tea or African tea, is a naturally caffeine-free infusion excellent to be consumed in summer for its purifying, antioxidant, antiviral, energizing qualities and for its flavor naturally sweet.



Herbal tea with star anise and fennel

This herbal tea has a good detox effect but it is also useful to deflate the belly counteracting any intestinal gas and promoting digestion. In fact, it combines the potential of star anise and fennel seeds. It is prepared using 2 star anise and 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds per cup of water. The herbs should be boiled in water for about 8 minutes.

Rosehip herbal tea

A perfect herbal tea in summer even for children is the one based on dog rose, a plant that stimulates the immune defenses and diuretic power and detoxifying. It is prepared by leaving a sachet to infuse for about 5 minutes or by using the rosehip berries (2 teaspoons for 250 ml of water) by immersing them in boiling water for about 10 minutes.

Licorice herbal tea

Licorice is also a herb with a purifying and diuretic power as well as anti-inflammatory. The herbal tea that is obtained from it can also be enjoyed in summer. It takes about 60 grams of dry root for 1 liter of water or 2 or 3 pieces for a single cup of water. However, these need to boil for a long time (about an hour) in order to release all their active ingredients.
