Here then is that a research conducted at the Women's Hospital in Boston and published in the scientific journal American Journal of Epidemiology now takes stock of the situation.
Prolonged use of pain relievers such asibuprofen or drugs based on paracetamol such as tachipirina can lead to hearing loss, especially in women, if these medicines are taken for a long time.
The researchers studied data for 54 women between the ages of 48 and 73 within the Nurses’Health Study, 5,5% of hearing loss cases identified by experts when reviewing the data are attributable to the use of certain medications such as pain relievers and anti-inflammatories.

Previously, in 2010, researchers from Boston had been dealing with this topic. It is therefore not the first time that the risk of hearing loss it is associated with some drugs, with problems affecting both men and women.
Therefore there would be a link between the excessive use of drugs such as aspirin, tachipirina and ibuprofen and a real lowering of hearing, with the risk of losing it completely in some cases.
