Knitted sweaters, scarves and hats thus enrich desolate alleys, gray sidewalks and monotonous avenues with color, but also monuments, means of transport and showy installations, giving passers-by an unexpected visual impact.

Even railings, stairways, street signs, light poles do not escape the careful eye of Magda, with the sole purpose of enlivening the opaque atmosphere that normally characterizes theurban environment. In 2005 she started the Knitta Please, a project dedicated to all lovers of knitting and aimed at spreading the passion and skills necessary to create creations that will inevitably end up attracting the attention of the curious, and beyond.
Magda gives great importance to participation and teamwork, as indispensable bases to be able to positively change the face of the places where each of us lives.
Over time, his creations have become so well known that they have been chosen to embellish various focal points of metropolises such as New York and Paris.
Buses, cars, statues, motorcycles and bridges were covered with knitted fabrics by Magda and her collaborators.
However, the artist also dedicates himself to works of smaller size, but which do not fail to find positive opinions from enthusiasts. Among them we find some very lively covers made for smartphone.
As is the case with other forms of street art, including graffiti, the work of Magda, originally from Austin (Texas), maintains a certain subversive aspect, but, unlike the writings that often do nothing but deface buildings and monuments, especially if poorly executed, her knitting give them an extra touch and are easily removable. In the world they are so popular that they have now become protagonists of major events and exhibitions, not only overseas. In fact, his examples of Yarn Bombing have recently been hosted by the Australian National Gallery and the Three-year di Milan.
